A 25-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges in connection with a shooting incident that occurred near 50th and Vienna. The accused, Andre Cross, has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree reckless injury.

 

Milwaukee Shooting Incident

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 7, when Milwaukee police responded to reports of a shooting in the neighborhood near 50th and Vienna. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with two gunshot wounds, identified as Ulysses Turner, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

 

Another individual, identified as the brother of the defendant, was also found with gunshot wounds but conscious at the scene.

 

Andre Cross’s Involvement

During the investigation, officers observed Andre Cross, the accused, in a wheelchair at the shooting scene. Cross attempted to leave the scene but was instructed by an officer to stay. However, he later left before further questioning.

 

Cross was later identified as the shooter by witnesses at the scene, including the father of the surviving victim, who confirmed that Cross was present at the party where the shooting occurred.

 

Evidence and Arrest

Detectives recovered evidence from the scene, including spent casings and unfired cartridges. Video footage from a nearby residence captured audio of the incident, with voices indicating Cross’s involvement in the shooting.

 

Following his arrest, a Glock 43 9mm handgun was recovered from Cross, along with the casings found at the scene. Analysis confirmed that the casings matched the handgun recovered from Cross.
