Stabbing Incident at Sharon Grocery Store Leads to Arrests
A shocking incident unfolded at City Foods in Sharon, Pennsylvania, when a man was brutally stabbed during a robbery. The Sharon Police Department responded to the scene at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, where they found the victim with a severe laceration to his face. The injured man reported that he had been robbed before being rushed to a local trauma center for treatment.
Police Pursuit and Arrests
Following the incident, officers identified three male suspects who fled the scene in a car. The authorities later located the vehicle at a residence on Charles Street in Hermitage, where at least one suspect was found inside. The homeowner, who was not present then, denied knowing anyone was inside his house.
The situation escalated when the suspects refused to leave the premises, prompting the Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team to intervene. Two of the suspects, Shannon Clarke, 48, and Larry Moore Jr., 34, both from Hermitage, were eventually apprehended and charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and aggravated assault. They are currently detained at the Mercer County Jail.
Search for the Third Suspect
Despite the arrests, one suspect remains at large. Robert Lee Pegues III, 35, from Farrell, is wanted on the exact charges and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities urge anyone with information on Pegues’s whereabouts to contact the Sharon police or the Mercer County 911 Center immediately.
