Three individuals were hospitalized following a single-vehicle accident on Route 9 in Spofford. The Chesterfield Police Department and other emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a severe crash early Saturday morning. The silver Jeep Grand Wagoneer involved in the incident veered off the road, crashing into a sign before landing in a field and finally stopping in the woods. The occupants, identified as Timothy McManus, Zuleyka McManus, and a male juvenile, sustained severe injuries and were transported to Cheshire Medical Center for treatment. The Scene of the Accident
On a quiet Saturday morning in Spofford, a single-vehicle crash on Route 9 shook the community. The incident occurred near Thomas Construction, a well-known landmark in the area. Emergency responders from various departments rushed to the scene to assist the victims and investigate the cause of the crash.
The Vehicle and Occupants
The vehicle involved in the crash was a silver Jeep Grand Wagoneer found approximately 500 feet off the road and into the woods. Inside the car were three occupants: Timothy McManus, 36, of Newbury, NH, Zuleyka McManus, 37, of Newbury, NH, and a male juvenile. The occupants sustained severe injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by medical personnel.
The Investigation
According to the preliminary investigation by the Chesterfield Police Department, the Jeep was traveling east on Route 9 when it swerved for reasons that are still under investigation. The vehicle then struck a sign, became airborne for approximately 47 feet, landed in a field, and finally rested in a small stream deep in the woods.
