“Upon arrival, emergency workers tended to the occupants of one of the vehicles, a Toyota Corolla, however both occupants died at the scene,” police said in the Aug. 4 update.
Police said the deceased have been identified as a 76-year-old male and a 75-year-old female both residents of Qualicum Beach British Columbia.
“The driver of the other vehicle, a Ford F350, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
RCMP remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.
